Eliminating Illegal Immigration

We hear a lot of folks fussing with each other over whether we need a fence or not to secure our borders and protect our country and economy from the sucking up of precious resources by the illegals flooding over our borders. Some say that the illegals are necessary in order for some businesses to survive ... however this is pure bunk and those that say this know it. If you want to see just how bad the problem is then go to any welfare office or emergency room and see just who is sitting there. What you will find is that 90% of the folks there are not from this country and most cannot even speak our language. Many Trauma Centers have closed because they cannot meet their own costs because the illegals are sucking up all of the resources and putting nothing back in. Most of you who are in desperate need of food stamps and other resources generally get denied because the illegals have already sucked up all the money available. The problem here is that the Welfare agencies only check the Social Security Number provided them for unemployment benefits and paycheck deductions that companies are required to provide to the IRS. However, most of the companies that employ illegals are simply paying them under the table and in cash so there are no records. The illegals then send the money back to their home countries because the American dollar is worth 10 times what the currency in their home country is worth. We all know these things but I needed to address it in order to set up the urgency of the solution.

If our government and our politicians were really serious about dealing with this issue then a fence would not even be in the conversation other than as a secondary obstacle to those flooding into our country. If you want to really solve a problem then you address it at the root cause and that is the American companies that are hiring these illegals. If there were no jobs here then these people would not be coming here in the first place. Here are the steps that we need to take in order to solve this problem.

1. Any company caught with illegals in their workforce is immediately shut down and everyone in the company involved in the hiring and training process is arrested and prosecuted by the Federal Government. When the cost of hiring illegals becomes prohibitive the companies doing it will stop, it's still all about money.
2. The U.S. Department of Immigration should be sweeping companies, apartment complexes, etc. for the presence of illegals. Any homeowner found to be renting to them will have their property seized by the Federal Government and sold at auction just like they do in cases of druglords. Apartment complexes will have the owners and managers as well as the property management company arrested and prosecuted by the Federal Government. Companies hiring them will be closed down as in #1. All illegals caught will have their DNA and fingerprints taken and uploaded into a federal database that can be accessed by any and all law enforcement agencies throughout the country and every person arrested will have their DNA and fingerprints checked against that database and prosecuted as appropriate.
3. Install radar, seizmic, infrared, thermal, and other technology as it is developed along all of our borders between the United States and foriegn countries. The military has some very effective battlefield sensors they use for urban warfare scenarios.
4. Equip each sensor with a GPS tracking chip and transmitter capable of sending encrypted data streams. We already have satellites in geosynchronous orbits around the U.S. capable of receiving and transmitting encrypted data streams. These satellites would then retransmit the received data streams to the appropriate receivers on the ground.
5. Build and maintain basecamps along our borders. The camps would be manned by National Guard (firepower), Local, State, and Federal law enforcement, INS, Border Patrol, etc. as needed to handle any and all jurisdiction issues. The mission of these bases will be to monitor the borders via the data streams sent to them by the orbiting satellites who receive these data streams from sensors on the ground (see #4). This system would turn our borders into an electronic frontier where any and all intrusions into this country can be tracked without having thousands of boots on the ground and putting our Border Patrol Agents at risk. When you make better use of your resources you get better results. The camps would also have the ability to call in helicopters or drones in order to verify the type of intrusion before dispatching the manpower to apprehend and detain the intruders. (This is necessary to determine if the intruders are in fact illegals/coyotes or simply somebody out there riding his ATV or other offroad vehicle. However, this should be determined by the agencies involved and not us).

The sensors I have checked out can be tuned to eliminate anything not human by either size, thermal signature, or body heat so they would not be picking up critters of the area. Also most of these sensors can scan in a 360 degree area out to approximately 2 miles distant and they can be set in such a way that they can overlap coverage areas and comoflaged to look like something other than a sensor. The initial cost of this is VERY expensive but once in place can be maintained by pennies on the dollar. These sensors can also be set to detect chemical, biological, and nuclear/radioactive sources as well.
